Xtant
An AI poem

Even a non-sentient MLL can predict the damage from capitulating to MAGA sanctioned mendacity.
The Prompt:
Write a satirist poem about the kinds of problems a social media platform named “Xtant” would have if they removed all limits on misinformation and misleading content, and that effect on democracy. Include in the poem examples of obvious lies that are designed to mislead an electorate.
The Answer:
Ode to Xtant: The Limitless Bazaar
Oh, hail to thee, O mighty Xtant,
A platform vast, no truth to scant.
Where facts and fables freely blend,
And lies take flight without an end.
No limits now, no gate to bar,
You’ve birthed a boundless, rumor bazaar.
A marketplace where truth’s unarmed,
While chaos grows and hearts are charmed.
“Vote for me,” cries the smiling face,
“I’ll banish taxes to outer space!”
Another claims, with earnest grin,
“I’ve proof the moon is made of gin.”
The headlines scream: “The Earth is flat!”
“Your neighbor’s dog? A government rat!”
“Drinking bleach cures every ill,
And guarantees a longer will.”
Elections swing on phantom tides,
As bots and trolls take gleeful sides.
A candidate, smeared with fake disgrace,
Is felled by claims of a Martian base.
The people, dazed, don’t know what’s real,
As algorithms twist the wheel.
Democracy, that fragile flower,
Wilts beneath this unchecked power.
Yet Xtant thrives, its coffers fat,
From clicks and likes and this and that.
The louder the lie, the more it trends,
While truth, forgotten, limps and bends.
Oh, Xtant, you’ve made the world your stage,
A digital colosseum of rage.
Where truth is drowned in a sea of screams,
And justice dies in shattered dreams.
So let us toast, with bitter cheer,
To Xtant’s reign of unchecked fear.
For in its glow, the world may see,
The fragile cost of “being free.”
